A Terrace Around An Existing Pool.
This design was for the pool terrace. After removing a dilapidated pool house around their free-form pool, the garden became more open and the pool more accessible. The client's wished for a pool terrace that would allow them to use this part of the garden as much as they could.
We incorporated space for dining, lounging and seating, and included a shower and changing room, and a stone outdoor kitchen. The clients came across the The Four Seasons statues at a reclamation yard. The pergola was designed so the statues could be sited in each bay, and with the dark yew hedge as their backdrop, they really stand out. This terrace sits perfectly in the context of the wider locale and it has completely changed the way they use the garden.
